At my core, I'm an artist and a creative.
It's 2004, my first day of my high school film photography class - where I'm introduced to my first camera - the mechanics of it and the technical skills of light, composition, and art.
In that class I'm introduced to my future career - also my future husband.
Fast forward...a degree in architecture, married to my high school sweetheart, 3 babies, and 12 years of photographing hundreds of couples and families all over the united states and different countries. It has been a wild ride and I'm so grateful for this world of photography and my clients that I have met along the way.
It's about the people. People first, always.
Penny.
Margot.
Maverick.
Becoming a mom changed everything for me...my "sappiness" level has since gone through the roof and now on a wedding day every human interaction feels SO significant to me. I'm always watching for these moments - from a mom watching her younger daughter help her oldest adjust her veil to the glances a groom sneaks at his bride when no one is paying attention. These tell the story.
Time spent on the water...especially wake surfing
Reading a good book & binging Netflix documentaries...balance
Renovating every square inch of our home
A road trip with my hubby (not so much with the 3 little humans)
A night with my girlfriends and good conversation
