Just like almost all engaged couples walking into 2020, Lauren & Jared’s wedding plans took a turn with the Covid pandemic and they were faced with making tough decisions in a crazy time – especially with them both being frontline workers! But can I just say from the moment I reached out to discuss options and how they were doing during this time they’ve been nothing but positive and focused on the biggest thing that mattered to them – their marriage. They didn’t want to delay starting their lives as husband and wife, even if that looked different from how they’d originally planned. And I am so glad they didn’t wait! Lauren & Jared had the sweetest, most beautiful, intimate backyard wedding…and I am obsessed. And while they plan to do it all again later this fall with all their friends and family present, this was a such a sweet and special evening, void of all the typical wedding day distractions… just a sweet couple vowing to spend the rest of their lives together. Congrats Lauren & Jared, and thanks for allowing me to be a part!

Amy & Dugan…where to even begin with these amazing humans. From the moment we met I instantly loved them and their love for one another. The way Dugan looks intently at Amy, and the way she smiles and laughs at him; like they’ve only just met when really their love story starts all the way back in middle school. They planned a gorgeous outdoor wedding, but the rains forced them to move everything inside and while that would’ve definitely phased me and most brides, I mean it when I say it didn’t put a damper on their day. They embraced it, bare feet, umbrellas, rain and all…and it was perfect. Congrats Amy & Dugan, thanks for letting us be a part of your day šŸ™‚

Fall felt so crazy short this year – like two days, and it just so happens we picked one of those days for Lauren & Jared’s engagement session (thanks to Lauren and her expert researching/predictions) ;)… I’ll be consulting her for all my fall sessions. Lauren & Jared are such a sweet and fun couple! I loved spending the evening with them – back at the place where Jared popped the question and I’m so excited for their wedding next spring!

Frank is a doctor working in the ER and Stephanie is a filmmaker, travel photographer + journalist AND they got engaged on top of Mt. Kilimanjaro – I mean talk about a cool couple. And even cooler still, they met on the front porch steps of the home they now share together years later. I had such a fun time hearing their story and spending the evening with these two and their super cute pup, Harry!

JoAnna & Levi look like paid models but I promise they are another one of my amazing couples. And they are every bit as sweet and fun as they are beautiful! I had such a good time with these high school sweethearts during their session and can’t wait for their wedding next year!

It was Miami University where Caitlyn and Freeland’s paths crossed so it was only fitting that we go back there for their engagement session. They met the very first weekend of college and Freeland proposed here – right after taking the Bar Exam! Which sounds crazy but was definitely the best way to throw Caitlyn off šŸ˜‰ I had such a fun time as we talked and walked around campus and am so excited for their Miami Merger next year!

September weddings will always hold a special place in my heart and Courtney & Aaron had the most gorgeous Kentucky fall day to become husband and wife. Courtney was such a stunning bride, and Aaron’s reaction to seeing his future wife coming down the aisle was the.best.thing.ever. We absolutely loved getting to share in their wedding day and can’t wait to see what the future holds for the new Mr. & Mrs.! Congrats to the sweetest newlyweds šŸ™‚

Marissa & Justin have been the sweetest couple and just so much fun since the day we met, so needless to say we’ve been looking forward to their wedding…and what a gorgeous September day it was! Marissa is a planner and you could see her handiwork in every beautiful detail of the day. We loved witnessing their sweet love story and (almost) even better witnessing them party on the dance floor. It’s all I could do not to toss my camera aside and join in. Congrats Marissa & Justin!

Becca & Jon… I. Love. These. Two. And it was clear to see that they have a whole tribe of amazing people who feel exactly the same way. Jon is the perfect compliment to Becca’s spunk and the way he looks at her is the sweetest. And Becca is a girl after my own heart…from her love of plants, extra sprinkles, her obsession with her cat (shout out to Darla), and her designer-brain – she just speaks my language. Also, talk about a gorgeous wedding; she designed and planned every detail perfectly (all the way from Buffalo no less) – crazy talented! I could gush about these two all day long, but I’ll end with this one line that stuck with me from Becca’s vows (they had possibly the best vows I’ve ever heard)…”You keep being you, and let’s be us forever.”

Autumn & Joe… I wish they lived in Ohio so we could hang out – I love these two! And their wedding day was a beautiful reflection of the amazing couple that they are. I think my favorite part of the day was getting to witness their exchanging of letters right before the ceremony, I was choking back tears for sure…I love their love for each other! Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Meyer, I hope Jamaica is treating you well!
